What the GPSR asks of sellers outside the EU
Regulation (EU) 2023/988, the General Product Safety Regulation, has applied since 13 December 2024. A consumer product may be placed on the EU market only if an economic operator established in the Union is responsible for it, and that operator's name, postal and electronic address must appear on the product, its packaging or an accompanying document, and in every online listing (Articles 4, 16 and 19). Great Britain applies the same rule with a responsible person in the UK.
Amazon, Etsy, eBay and the main shop platforms now ask for these details and can block listings without them. The responsible person keeps the documentation available, cooperates with market surveillance authorities and informs them of risks. Responsibility for the safety of your products stays with you.

How it works
- 1Subscribe on AWS
Open REP27 on AWS Marketplace, choose the GPSR plan for the EU, the UK or both, and confirm with your AWS account.
- 2Complete the designation
AWS sends you to our website: confirm your email, enter your company and brand details (about 5 minutes) and sign electronically.
- 3Put the details on your products
A person reviews the file, usually the same working day. You receive the signed designation, the certificate and the text to copy onto labels and listings.
Questions
Who needs a GPSR responsible person?
Manufacturers and brands established outside the EU that sell consumer products to people in the EU, directly or through Amazon, Etsy, eBay or their own shop, when no importer or other economic operator in the Union can be named. For Great Britain the same applies with a UK responsible person.
Does it transfer liability for my products?
No. You remain responsible for the safety of your products. We are the contact point named on them, keep the documentation available and cooperate with the authorities.
Is the price per product?
No. Every plan covers unlimited products. The plans differ only in the number of brands: one, up to five, or unlimited.
Is it the same service as buying on our website?
Yes. Same responsible persons, same documents, same verification code and the same client area. Only the billing channel changes.
Who sends the invoice?
AWS. The subscription appears on your AWS bill, so you will not receive a second invoice from us.
Can I pay by card instead?
Yes. If you do not use AWS, appoint us directly on our website with card, PayPal or bank transfer, yearly or monthly.
