What the CRA asks of non-EU manufacturers
Manufacturers outside the EU that place products with digital elements on the EU market — connected devices, software, apps, firmware — fall under Regulation (EU) 2024/2847. From 11 September 2026 an actively exploited vulnerability or a severe incident must be notified within 24 hours, with a full notification within 72 hours and a final report within 14 days. A non-EU manufacturer may mandate an authorised representative established in the Union.

AWS sends you to our website: product lines in scope, products already on the market, contacts.
- 3Channel live
A person reviews the file; within one working day the channel is live and you receive the signed mandate.
Questions
Who stays responsible for reporting?
The manufacturer. We run the channel, keep the deadlines in view and prepare the filings with you.
Who sends the invoice?
AWS. The subscription appears on your AWS bill, so you will not receive a second invoice from us.
Can I pay by card instead?
Yes. If you do not use AWS, appoint us directly on our website with card, PayPal or bank transfer.
What happens at renewal?
AWS renews the annual contract automatically and our system extends your mandate on its own.
