What a GDPR representative does
Under Article 27 of the GDPR, a company established outside the European Union that offers goods or services to people in the Union, or monitors their behaviour, must designate in writing a representative established in the Union. The UK GDPR contains the same rule for the United Kingdom. The representative is the point of contact for individuals and for data protection authorities, holds a copy of your record of processing activities and is named in your privacy notice.

How it works
- 1Subscribe on AWS
Open REP27 on AWS Marketplace, choose the plan and confirm with your AWS account.
- 2Complete the designation
AWS sends you to our website: confirm your email, fill in the company details (about 5 minutes) and sign electronically.
- 3Receive your documents
A person reviews the file. Once approved you receive the signed designation letter, the verifiable certificate with QR code and the privacy-policy text.
Questions
Is it the same service as buying on gdprrepresentative.com?
Yes. Same representative entities — Europe Services SE in Prague for the EU and REP27 LTD in England for the UK — same documents, same request desk and the same client area. Only the billing channel changes.
Who sends the invoice?
AWS. The subscription appears on your AWS bill and AWS issues the invoice, so you will not receive a second invoice from us.
Can I still pay by card or PayPal instead?
Yes. If you do not use AWS, appoint us directly on our website with card, PayPal or bank transfer, in euros or in your currency.
What happens at renewal?
AWS renews the annual contract automatically and our system extends your designation on its own. If you cancel on AWS, the designation is not renewed at the end of the year.
Do we need a GDPR representative at all?
Only if you have no establishment in the EU (or the UK) and you offer goods or services to people there, or monitor their behaviour. Our free check tells you in a minute, and says so plainly when you do not need one.
